SUPPLEMENTS DON'T WORK?

Glowwa is set ting the beauty world abuzz – those pretty pink packages of hair food supplements are making a real impact with clients wanting to see stronger, healthier hair. And Glowwa’s new global ambassador, Not Another’s Sophia Hilton is here to share how you can see stronger profits too!

“Hair growth tablets don’t work!” Wow – where did your opinion on supplements come from, Sophia?

When I was 16, I spent £300 on some ‘make your boobs grow bigger’ pills from Holland and Barrett. Ha! They didn’t work, and I’d spent all my birthday and Christmas money. I was gutted. My parents gave me the ‘I told you so’ speech and I vowed to never trust any supplements again!

You’re the new Glowwa global ambassador, so we’re guessing something changed your mind?

I started to see Glowwa online – the before and after transformations were wild! I was still sceptical, so I asked my audience online what they thought. From the moment I put the post out, my inbox was full of people saying how much they loved it! For days, people sent me their before-and-afters in my DMs. Even the Reel I posted was full of comments from salon owners saying it had changed their clients’ lives. I was amazed, not one negative comment. How?!

What makes Glowwa different to other supplements online?

A lot of tablets are full of ‘nasties’ like bulking agents and sweeteners. GLOWWA has only clean, natural ingredients, a perfect mix of biotin, B12, folic acid, zinc, L-Lysine, MSM, niacin, B5, B6, vitamin C and coconut water.

Why’s now a good time to stock Glowwa?

Profits are at an all-time low and yet we’re often redirecting our clients to Holland & Barrett or similar stockists to buy products and take the profit that could be in our pockets… which is mad. Why don’t we, as hairdressers, take that share of the market?

Can you make good profit from Glowwa?

Oh my God yes! A lot of salons have their clients on a monthly subscription, and at Not Another Salon, we’re just trialling this out ourselves. You know the bit I like the most? Glowwa only sells to salons. I’m sick of competing with high street shops. I can’t win.

Why do you enjoy helping clients with hair growth?

Slow, or lack of, hair growth is so emotional for people. Hair – as we all know – can crush or boost a person’s confidence. Watching your client’s excitement as their hair grows along with their feeling of self-worth is a really beautiful story to be a part of.
