MAISON DE MELT

Creative HEAD welcomes you to Maison de Melt, the ultimate hang-out for beautiful hair where mouthwatering shades are smoothly blended to create dazzling results that look good enough to eat. Think rich chocolate brunettes with ribbons of toffee and caramel… creamy blondes laced with soft, sweet mauve… and juicy peach hues that look fresh and modern. It’s the perfect way to indulge in cafécore, one of this year’s hottest trends on TikTok, and where Gen Z and Millennials are finding new ways to espresso themselves!

On the chalkboard at Maison de Melt, a menu of delicious hair colour melts exclusively created by Wella Professionals global ambassador James Earnshaw: seamless colour blends with a multi-dimensional finish that reflects light, enhances texture and adds movement. His essential ingredient? Color Touch, the iconic demi-permanent, with its newly upgraded formula delivering intense colour, amazing shine and true-to-tone vibrancy, even on damaged hair. Fading gently over 28 washes, it’s the perfect colour for clients who want to try a new trend.

So, embrace your inner barista. It’s time to place your order!

“The beauty of the melt is that it can be tailored to suit each client’s individual preferences, allowing for endless possibilities in colour combinations and placement. There really is something for everyone here – colourist and client!”

“If you lack the confidence to work with multiple shades, I recommend you work with your go-to shade – I call it the DNA shade – and then add a gram or two of something else into it to create your other shades. So, when you melt everything together, your DNA shade is still there, holding the look together.”

AN ICON UPGRADED

Color Touch has been reformulated to deliver the same results, no matter the hair condition

When Wella Professionals invented Color Touch more than 70 years ago they changed the hairdressing landscape forever. The firstever low-commitment, ammonia-free, demi-permanent colour went on to revolutionise salon services, becoming the perfect solution that millions of stylists reached for over the decades when their clients wanted to switch up their hair tone without compromising the condition.

But it turns out that even the best can get better. This month Wella Professionals unveil a new modernised Color Touch – and the improvements are impressive. That iconic ammonia-free formula is vegan now, something that’s becoming increasingly important to clients looking for a more sustainable lifestyle, and it’s completely free from silicones and mineral oils, too. Results are longer-lasting, up to 28 shampoos (up four from previously).

There’s a new Color Touch Emulsion, which you combine with your shades to ensure the perfect consistency for all your colour applications.

Best of all, Color Touch now has a built-in metal purifier, specifically to tackle the heavy presence of metals in damaged hair. Expect the same much-loved results from Color Touch on healthy hair but know that you can now achieve the same true-to-tone vibrancy and uncompromised shine on damaged hair.

Among the more than 80 shades in the Color Touch range (all intermixable, for ultimate versatility), you’ll find a new bronze collection comprising a trio of stunning natural shades with a hint of mahogany. In a clever piece of R&D, all three shades are balanced with warm and cool tones, making them ideal for all clients looking to update their colour with this season’s on-trend bronze hue.

Unsurprisingly, Color Touch aficionados are raving about the upgrades to their beloved brand. None more so than Wella Professionals global amabassador James Earnshaw, who was part of the team that tested the new formula.

“I’m excited by the upgrades! The results are stunning and its Metal Purifier means that colour is vibrant and exactly as expected. There are no hidden surprises, even when the base is not completely even. For clients who frequently want to change their shade or try a trend for a season, this is ideal.”
