“YOU GET THAT BOUNCE, THAT ‘SWISHINESS’”

“We’ve been using Redken Color Gels Oils for about a year and we’ve found it phenomenal. You’re able to achieve 100 per cent coverage for white-haired clients, and we don’t have to use other products because every shade covers white. But it’s not just white-haired coverage, there are younger clients who might want more vibrant colours that will find this product perfect, too. The quick application is much easier technique-wise, as you get a lot more of a strong coverage. I recently did a copper transformation from root to tip with Color Gels Oils and the result was amazing, there was no banding at all and that’s really important when you use the more vibrant shades. You can do a beautiful blonde and get a true tone with it, too. With other permanent colours, they sit quite matte on the hair. With Color Gels Oils, you get that lift, that bounce, that 'swishiness' in the hair that's so luxurious. You get that translucent colour finish but it’s permanent. With the application, you can see what the shine is going to be like right in the product, it’s glistening in the bowl. It’s much more modern.”

“MY YOUNGER CLIENTS LOVE THE RICH COLOURS”

“When Color Gels Oils came out last year, I didn’t test it for a few months. People were saying, ‘Oh, it’s great. It covers, it colours’. But I thought, ‘I’m just not risking it’. Then I trialled it at my salon Embellir… and it was AMAZING! It took a little time to get used to the application of a liquid permanent colour, and it goes on dark, but trust the process. Color Gels Oils can be used in lots of different ways, and there are some brilliantly vibrant colours. A lot of my younger clients love colours that are very rich. I’ve got a couple of copper clients who I’ve used Color Gels Oils on and they are addicted. We’ve seen an increase in permanent colour bookings, and I think that’s down to Color Gels Oils. Clients aren’t as scared by permanent colour, because we’re able to get that glossy effect. They don’t want it to look fake, and Color Gels Oils looks very natural. If they’re nervous about permanent colour, I would normally start on Shades EQ to give them a feel of the tone, and then move up to Color Gels Oils Lacquers. If they love it, we’ll go to Color Gels Oils. It’s a safety blanket, and it works.”

“LIQUID IS SO VERSATILE – IT’S A GAMECHANGER”

“I switched to Redken last December. We’d never used liquid colour before. Even though we’d been using a lot of permanent colour, Color Gels Oils has just been a gamechanger. The results are just incredible, and they’re very true to colour. What you see is what you get. The clients are loving the results, the hair colour is lasting longer, and it’s much more vibrant. It’s the feel of it too – they all think they’ve had a treatment as well! When you move over to liquid colour, what you can do just blows your mind. Cream permanent colours I find more cakey and that limits you. Being a liquid makes it so much more versatile, you can use it for anything. And with Color Gels Oils 10 Minutes you can create a very personalised, custom service.

“We created an express services menu – including root and hairline touch ups – and we’re getting lots of bookings. And Color Gels Oils is 100 per cent adding new turnover to our business, because clients are coming back in-between for that extra express service. it’s a win, win for everyone.”

“IT’S BEEN A REAL BOOST TO BOOKINGS"

“I love the vibrancy you get with Color Gels Oils, it’s a more intense colour. If you use a copper, it’s going to give you a really vibrant copper! I used 7CC on a client who wanted it very vibrant and you’d think I’d bleached the hair first, it was so bright. With other permanent colours, you wouldn’t get that vibrancy, or their copper might be a bit red, or a bit yellow. But this is a true vibrant copper, and I love it! Technique-wise, Color Gels Oils kind of pushes you out of your box a little bit. And it’s been a boost to bookings, we’ve definitely moved people on to it. The longevity is great, but clients are coming in for regrowth, which boosts business. They’re coming back and their hair still looks really good.

“We’re definitely getting more bookings from clients, they constantly have nice hair! With other brands I’ve used, the colours faded a lot more. Since Color Gels Oils was introduced, it’s been a business-boosting colour because it gives us an extra option, it gives you a little bit more density to your colours. If you’re thinking about trying Color Gels Oils, do it, you won’t regret it.”
