NEW SPACES, FRESH LOOKS AND LOCATIONS TO HELP YOU WORK BETTER
CLUB 13, HULL
@clubthirteenhull
In a deliberate move away from the modern minimalist style that underpins the design of lots of new spaces on the high street, Ryan Lewis had a very different approach to Club 13. “I’ve always been drawn to the ‘80s synth wave,” he muses. “I love how the dark background makes the colours pop, making the brand more memorable. I wanted to create a feeling and distinct atmosphere, like you feel fully immersed and part of the club.” On a limited budget, he opted for understated furniture, focusing on elements such as signage, lighting and the branded barber chairs. Relax with the Xbox, Switch or TV in the lounge area or a beer from the bar, and there’s tattoo-based art thanks to upstairs neighbour, House of Wolves. The team has also had free rein with some of their own areas, bringing in their personalities. “It’s so important this is OUR club, not just my shop.”
